Think outside the heart shaped box of chocolates and do something fitness related this week to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Here are some ideas to get those endorphins flowing:
- Register for a race together. Run with your sweetheart or maybe your relationship can handle a little healthy competition? Edmond Running Club’s Frigid Five Miler takes place on Valentine’s Day if you are in the Oklahoma City area. The Oklahoma Sports & Fitness Event Calendar has a list of races happening on or around February 14th.
- Plan a date to a group fitness class. If running doesn’t light your fire make a reservation for two at a studio or your gym. Barre3 in Oklahoma City is holding a Cupid’s Class on February 12th for couples that even includes drinks to toast to your love. Find details on their Facebook page or sign up here. - Try something new. Being in love is definitely an adventure! Experiencing new things and working as a team can bring couples closer. Check out Climb UP in Norman and you might find out rock climbing is a new love.
